Crown Engineering was founded in 1969 by Director Brian Cannon. Brian started the business on his own and soon developed the company to a seven man team carrying out steel fabrication, ducting installs and plastic fabrication for many clients including blue chip companies.

In 1995 Brian’s Son Matt Cannon decided to join his Father at Crown Engineering. After completing a four year Joinery apprenticeship with a local joinery company and spending a further four years gaining joinery experience Matt took the opportunity to develop his knowledge and learn new skills in engineering and steel fabrication with his Father’s company. Matt was then appointed as a director of the company in 1998.

In 2002 Crown Engineering purchased a small joinery company which was to trade along side Crown Engineering and was formed as Crown Joinery. Initially starting with a small three man team and has gradually expanded to a larger workforce.

In 2008 Crown Engineering and Crown Joinery were merged to form Crown Industrial UK Limited trading as The Crown Group on two different business sites.

In 2010 a decision was made to relocate the two business sites to one site in Aylesham near Canterbury and this is currently being undertaken.

The Crown Group is now a well established family run company employing highly skilled craftsman, specialist office staff from management to design teams.

With over 40 years experience in engineering and steel fabrication, and 22 years in joinery Crown Group produce high quality engineering and bespoke joinery solutions for a wide range of customers Nationally, including blue chip companies, builders, developers, architects, Local Authorities, conservation officers and private clients.
